Rapid Response Services

The Rapid Response process is designed to link employees facing layoffs with services and jobs available through local OhioMeansJobs Centers.

The Rapid Response team provides local on-site assistance and a coordinated presentation of available resources and services to help employees, unions, companies, and communities navigate layoffs.

Rapid Response services include:

• Outplacement activities to assist workers in finding new jobs including comprehensive employment search training including resume development and networking skills
• Assistance in stabilizing the employee-employer environment during a layoff or closing.
• Help maintaining worker productivity prior to layoff.
• Coordination of delivery of services to the employees.
• Unemployment Compensation Representatives are available to provide information and answer questions on Unemployment benefits.
