Education and Training

Through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), we can help fund eligible job seekers with educational programs or on-the-job training to prepare them for in-demand careers. This program is designed to help job seekers access and afford relevant education, training, and supportive services to advance and succeed in their career.

What's Covered?

We can assist with up to 2 years of training for in-demand occupations. This can include a short-term certificate, Associate degree, or the last 2 years of a Bachelor's degree.

Some courses and transition programs include:

  • STNA
  • LPN
  • RN
  • CDL/Truck Driving
  • Welding
  • CNC
  • Electric Journeyman
  • and many more!

Funding through WIOA helps cover required program costs including:

  • Up to $15,000 in Tuition Assistance
  • Course Fees
  • Required Textbooks
  • Uniforms
  • Exams and Certification Fees
  • Travel Assistance
  • Other Supportive Services

Things to Keep in Mind

  • Training is provided by the educational institutions approved by the zip of Ohio.
  • The WIOA program is NOT an entitlement program and all participants must meet the eligibility and suitability criteria.
  • Special funding for training and education is available to dislocated workers who have lost their job through layoffs, plant closings, or foreign competition.
